Chanel Cruise Makeup Collection 2019: Lumière et Contraste

I probably have said this many times before already, but the CHANEL Cruise Makeup Collection 2019 is truly one of my favorites. Give me nude shades, bronzers and highlighters with a gorgeous packaging and I’m a happy woman. Inspired from the effects of shadow and light captured in the streets of Tokyo and Seoul, this collection is created.

THE FACE

Let’s start off with one of the most exciting products from the collection: the Duo Bronze et Lumière. Although the packaging looks too beautiful to even use, it’s definitely worth it. This limited-edition face powder duo features a bronzer and a highlighter to sculpt and contour the complexion, giving it a matte and shimmering effect. It comes in two different shades: Clair (peachy-beige) and Medium (golden-chocolate). From the gorgeous packaging with the imprinted CC logo to the shades and texture of the product : I simply love all of it.

The powder blends extremly easily on the skin. It doesn’t make my face look cakey, shiny, too glowy, but it makes it look just perfect. The contrast between the matte bronzer and the shimmery highlighter looks very nice  and natural on the skin. Since I have tried out these powders, I have used them almost every single day. If you could only pick one item from this collection, than I could definitely recommend this one!

THE EYES

Let me introduce to you another exclusive creation of this collection: Les 4 Ombres in Lumières Naturelles. A limited-edition eyeshadow palette featuring four luminous, natural shades with matte, iridescent and metallic finishes for intense depth. The 4 different shades: light rosy beige, a satiny bronze, a bronze platinum, a light caramel. The most perfect nude eyeshadow palette in my collection.

Although it looks too pretty to use, I still wanted to create and try out different looks with this eyeshadow palette. For this review I created two different ones, which you can see on the pictures down below. For the first look, I picked the platinum bronze eyeshadow (with the gorgeous CC logo) and applied this on my entire eyelid. I used the light caramel shade to create the depth in my crease. A perfect look for everyday. For the second look, I wanted to bronze it up a bit more for the summer, so I choose to apply the satiny bronze shade all over my lid. Also using the light caramel shade in my crease.

THE LIPS

Meanwhile we have brought depth to our eyes, it’s time to highlight the lips. In this collection CHANEL released two new limited edition shades of the Rouge Coco Flash lipsticks. Almost in every bag of mine, you will find one of these lipsticks, because I like the formula so much. So I was very excited to see more shades being released. At first glance the Rouge Coco Flash Contraste shade seemed to be darker than I was used to, but when I swatched it, it turned into a beautiful nude shade with a cool undertone. I did not expect this at all! Especially in combination with the darker eyes, I think this lip colour is absolutely perfect.

BEFORE & AFTER

THE NAILS

Le Vernis – Purple Ray (709)

Le Vernis – Afterglow (703)

There is not a better way to complete your look, than with one of the pastel nail colours from the collection. My absolute favorite nail polish of this season is definitely the shade Purple Ray. It’s the most longwear nail polish that I have ever tried out from CHANEL, I’m currently wearing it 3,5 weeks without any chips! The shade Afterglow is not just any nude colour, it has a gorgeous golden shimmer mixed into it. I can’t wait to wear this during the summer when I’m at the beach, and you see the colour and shine when it’s the prettiest!
