Guerlain has launched three new fragrances in their Aqua Allegoria line and trust me, they are perfect for summer! Besides the fact that the Guerlain Aqua Allegoria fragrance’s are for women ánd men, you can also layer different fragrances on each other.
Guerlain Aqua Allegoria – Coconut Fizz
Coconut Fizz is an exotic and luminous Eau de Toilette, an invitation to enter into a tropical garden and savour the freshness of coconut water. Coconut Fizz, the spirit of coconut water with a touch of fresh fruit.
Top notes: Coconut Nectar, Bergamot
Heart notes: Water fruit, Freesia
Base notes: Sandalwood, Tonkabean
From the three new fragrances, Coconut Fizz was the first one that caught my attention. The beautiful bright blue color of the fragrance doesn’t go unnoticed easily. Now I have to admit that I have a love/hate relationship with coconut scent in beauty products. So I was very curious to try this one out. Now I have to admit, I absolutely love it! Coconut Fizz is the perfect fragrance to wear on very warm days, and luckily we had many of those in the past few weeks. The coconut in the fragrance is not heavy and doesn’t smell synthetic at all. This made me love it even more. It truly reminds me of a summer holiday in a bottle.
Guerlain Aqua Allegoria – Flora Cherrysia
Flora Cherrysia evokes an escape along the sakura river shaded by blossoming cherry trees. A nap on the banks of a stream strewn with pink petals. Flora Cherrysia, the spirit of cherry blossom sprinkled with water.
Top notes: Watermelon, Bergamot
Heart notes: Cherryblossom, Rose, Pear
Base notes: White Musk, Violet, Woody notes
Flora Cherrysia is probably the fragrance that I’m going to wear the most of all three. I mean, doesn’t the combination of watermelon and cherryblossom sound amazing? It’s approriate for any occasion and very easy to combine with other Aqua Allegoria fragrances, so you can create your own signature scent. It’s a fruity fragrance, and although I expected the cherryblossom to be a bit more dominant, I really like the combination with the other fruity notes in it.
Guerlain Aqua Allegoria – Ginger Piccante
Ginger Piccante is an Eau de Toilette radiant with freshness; the delicious aphrodisiac notes of ginger blend with the fresh-blossomed roses in the morning. Ginger Piccante, the spirit of a fresh, candied ginger with a note of rose.
Top notes: Ginger, Lemon, Bergamot
Heart notes: Pepper, Rose
Base notes: Cedar, White Musk
Now I have to be honest, I’m not the biggest fan of the taste or the smell of ginger. That’s why I already knew this was not going to be my favorite one. I decided to let my friends and family, who are more into sharper fragrances, spray it on and they liked it a lot! What is interesting about this fragrance is how it starts off with a strong ginger scent, but later on it waters down and the rose note takes over. If you like spicy fragrances with a fresh and flowery twist, than definitely try this one out for summer!
