BEST LUXURY BEAUTY GIFTS 2017 (HOLIDAY GUIDE)

Christmas is right around the corner and that means you already have to start thinking about holiday gifts. Even though it feels nice to receive presents, it feels even better to find the perfect holiday gift for anyone on your list. This is usually not the easiest task and when it comes down to beauty, this will be the only guide you’ll need this holiday season. Or you can use it to find inspiration for your own wishlist! I have listed over 10 completly different beauty products in very different price categories, from skincare to make-up to beauty mirrors. In this article you could have already read my review about the famous Starskin masks! Especially for the holiday season masks are great to give as a gift, since it’s a more special occasion. It’s ideal as a stocking stuffer or just to give to your best friends so you can prep together before New Years! Starskin has a very ride range of different masks for the face, eyes, lips and even hands! The packaging looks chic and luxurious and the results are visible straight away.

Faby is a nailpolish brand from Italy that is 100% vegan, cruelty free and doesn’t contain any toxic ingredients. Besides that, they have a huge range of nailpolish colors and collections! The quality of their nailpolishes is amazing and it’s definitely something that I would give to a friend as well. Recently Faby’s journey into the universe of women continued with EGO, the 2017/18 autumn/winter collection, in which colour becomes an unstoppable expression of a special and unique woman. Every year philosophy launches an amazing holiday collection with products and gift sets that will completly change your skincare routine. Especially the ornaments are very populair since they are perfect to give as a gift. This year they have an ornament with take a deep breath oil-free gel (15 ml – € 14,00) which is a  miniature skincare gel for someone with a busy lifestyle to breathe new life into tired and stressed skin. I’m usually a big fan of renewed hope in a jar, but when I tried this gel, I was so suprised by how much I liked it. Last year Lancôme came out with their new L’Absolu lipsticks and recently they launched an entire new lipgloss collection with a new packaging and formula called: Lancôme L’Absolu Roses Fall 2017. I really like how they changed their packaging, it definitely feels more chic! But what has suprised me is that the quality of their new products is really amazing. If you want to buy one special make-up item than this collection is definitely worth taking a look at! The L’Absolu Gloss Cream in the Nuit & Jour color is my favorite, a very universal shade in a beautiful packaging.

Smashbox – Travel Primer Set – €35,00

Smashbox is a beautybrand that I recently discovered and since I tried out their contour kit, I can’t go a day without it! For the holiday collection they collaborated with illustrator Ana Strumpf, she designed the artsy and cool packaging of the products. One of the items from the holiday collection is the travel primer set. As we all known the most widely beloved Smashbox product has to be the primer, known for blurring pores and getting skin photo-ready. This trio of travel-size face primers instantly blurs pores, defeats shine and keeps your holiday looks fresh while on the go. I brought these travel-size products to Paris with me 2 days ago for a small trip, and even after the snow and rain, my make-up looked flawless at the end of the day. I was shocked, since primers never really worked with me before! I really recommend the products, for a gift but also to try it out yourself!

Rituals – VICTOIRE D’AMBRE – Eau de Parfum – 50 ml – € 39,00

There will be a special Perfume Holiday Guide coming up in a few days, but I still wanted to mention the new Rituals Eau de Parfum in this article. When I think about beautygifts I always think about Rituals. All of their products come in beautiful packaging and you can’t ever go wrong with them! For the first time I tried out one of their perfumes called Victoire D’Ambre in a  sleek gold packaging, even the box of the perfume looks very luxurious. It’s a warm and strong oriental fragrance composed of Elemi, Amber and Musk, that will last on your skin for a véry long time! I was very suprised by the quality of the perfume, since I never experienced that a perfume stayed on my skin so well. Big favorite!

CHANEL – Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick – €38,00

If you want to give someone a luxury classic beauty item that is also exclusive, you have to take a look at the new CHANEL Rouge Allure Velvet lipsticks from the Numéros Rouges collection. Lucia Pica has reinterpreted the scarlet hue into four shades. Each shade is tailor-made with a unique undertone, suitable for every woman. What makes this collection very unique is the packaging! As we all know CHANEL always had the sleek and black packaging, which hasn’t changed in years. But now the lipsticks have a beautiful red packaging. Unfortunately Azzedine Alaïa, one of the greatest and most uncompromising designers of the 20th and 21st centuries, died last month in Paris. I decided to light the scented candle in his honor and I remembered how much I liked the scent of the Alaïa Paris beauty products / perfumes. It smells very powdery but soft at the same time. Especially the body cream is one of the best body products I have tried in a while. I have reviewed them before on my website and I can really recommend them and they are also very suitable for a gift!

Simplehuman – sensor mirror pro wide view – €400

If you really want to go all out for a Christmas gift then the mirror from simplehuman is the best gift when it comes to beauty ‘gadgets’. With the wide-viewing angle of the dynamic simplehuman Wide View Sensor Mirror, you can see yourself from nearly any angle.
